And like Amy ....if you only knew the stuff I leave out.
She gave me an Honest Blogger Award.... ... ... ... that I can't figure out how to get on my page.
Oh well anyhoo...
The rules state that I must tell 10 honest things about myself so here goes.
1) I am as scared of losing weight as I am scared of staying fat. I shudder at the thought of how much leftover skin I am going to have hanging off of me.
2)I am chonically lazy. I can sit on my butt like nobody's business.
3) I don't tell it all here because there are subjects that this medium just isn't anonymous enough for me to discuss.
4) I will probably never plant that garden or accomplish half the crap I have listed in that to-do list to the right of this page. It is there more to guilt inspire me than to really keep track of anything.
5) I don't have a favorite chore. I hate them all equally.
6) I do have a favorite child but I won't say which one he is.
7) I'll phrase this as a math word problem...How many times does 52 go into 36? Anyone class...anyone? Not as many times as 36 would like. Some out there may have to read some old posts to figure that one out.
8) Most of my friends are male. I have a hard time making female friends.
9) If I could eat chocolate at every meal I would.
10) I feel like I have wasted my youth being fat and am angry at myself that once I get the weight off I am not going to be young and pretty even though I will be thinner.
So there are 10 honest statements. Now for the 7 honest bloggers.....Some of these may be repeats of who others have awarded it too....consider this seconding the nominations.....
FarFetched of "Tales from FAR Manor" It can get crazy at the Manor and he isn't afraid to let you know about it. He also has an excellent little fiction called FARFuture that is interspersed amongst the normal posts. I look for his posts every morning.
Phelan of "A Homesteading Neophyte" She shows you the nitty gritty down and dirty aspects of homesteading and is the one that made me realize I ain't cut out for it. Reading her blog helped me realize my boundaries.
Wendy at "Home Is...." Another hard core homesteader. I am glad to see her back. I envy her life in Maine and wish I could be a quarter as industrious as she is.
Mount Belly Mama of "Hot Belly Mama" Outspoken, honest woman taking you along for the journey from miscarriage, to conception, to pregnancy and soon motherhood.
Beth of "Nutwood Junction" Beth DOES NOT, WILL NOT hold back an opinion. And she can take down snarkers with razor like wit and humor. But be warned she will fill up your updates box. She must just be able to think the words onto the page because I can't comprehend humans typing that fast.
Remo of "Remo Sez" I don't always agree with his politics. He's
And last but not least
Carlos of "You're Gonna Need A Bigger Boat" He has inspired me to get off my ass and try again at the weight loss thing. He does this roughly daily through his posts. He's funny, human, inspiring and a little dirty at times....which I find to be a perfect combination.
So there you have it.
Thank you Amy.

Thank you, Kristi, and congrats on your award! I'm delighted, and I'm grinning ear-to-ear at your description. Oh so true. :) I did receive that award several days ago, so I've already done my list of 10 honest things, and I am NOT doing another 10! Like you, I don't share everything on my blog, and it was kind of hard for me to come up with 10 things! I will definitely mention this and link back to you, though. Hugs, Beth
Oh, my gosh! I was just checking in, and wow! Thank you so much for the nomination ;). It was my first ... :).
Guess I'm off to bare my soul with ten honest things ... does I'm a grandma, and I'm not yet forty-two count?
Hey, thanks for the thumbs-up! I’ll have to come up with the 10 honest things… maybe I'll just make something up. :-P
BTW, the hanging skin thing goes away after a while. Maybe not as soon as you like, but it does go away. The Boy is now pretty scrawny, after weighing about 270 a couple years ago, and the gut flap is a lot smaller than it used to be. As for #4, making jam is easy (and if you're making it, you're canning it). Get a box of pectin & follow the directions they put in the box! Perversely, I look forward to getting all scratched up in the blackberry thickets on July 4 weekend; the gallons of free fruit is worth it. (Now if I can keep Mrs. Fetched from giving away all the jelly/jam as Christmas presents!!!)
LOL at #7… sometimes the best jokes take a couple seconds to "get."
